As lighting director & 2nd camera shooting alongside cinematographer Chuck “Chill” Greenwood on this indie thriller, I got to do some super fun chase sequences through a cemetery with my favorite gimbal setup and some in-car rig work alongside Adrienne King for her cameo appearance in the film.
As cinematographer on this unbelievably low-budget (I was also 1st AD in order to at least collect two paychecks) – I ran a 3-camera setup on most locations with a rock star camera team featuring Jared Heard, Sean Marc Nipper, Rocky Garotto, and lighting director Kirk McKenzie. This one was super fun, a lot of handheld & gimbal chase sequences again, plus some super creepy slow-burn drone & dolly shots.
Levi J. Anderson began work in the film/video industry as a company grip in Southern Oregon. Years of G/E led him to Key Grip on a handful of indie films as well as becoming the go-to Lighting Director for commercial work in the Rogue Valley.
In 2012 Anderson took the reins of director Alex William’s Canon 5D to shoot Masked, and quickly followed that up as DP on Ray Robison’s Vampire Camp. Both films went on to win festival awards.
Following up this Levi shot the short films Buster Bright Boy (2013), Necrotic (2014), Prowler (2015), and two documentary projects: Common Weeds and Wild Edibles (2015) and I Want Abs (2016).
He then went on to helm The Long Way (2017), his first feature as Director of Photography.
From here, Levi took a hard turn into 1st AD and Co-Producing for nearly a decade before returning to the camera for two fresh new indie feature films, Creep it Reel (2026) and Skagamook (2026), both from Barbed Wire Films, and running a 4-camera team on a yet-to-be titled Peter Rowan documentary, also due in 2026.
